It really has been a bit too long waiting to blog this wedding, but after submitting it to Boho, I wanted Kelly to have the opportunity to blog it first. It was special… No, really quite far removed from every other wedding that I have covered at home or afar. This in turn made it unique and theirs alone. To say that I will never shoot another like it would be a huge understatement and to be honest, lovely as it would be to shoot weddings like this every day, I love that it was a one off.
Jo and Bryn chose to get married at Jo’s parents house, where she grew up and surrounded by those closest and dearest to her and Bryn, who is also from St Bees. They now live in London, a place as different to St Bees as could possibly be, but it is still St Bees that they both call home. The choice of the house to get married at was forced by the closure of their original venue in the Lake District, but the Humanist Ceremony that replaced it was perfect. You only have to look at the pictures to see that the setting was just beautiful and shooting the group shots in the old orchard was the icing on the cake.
So, I don’t get out to West Cumbria a lot, but this one was worth it. I think that the images are better off doing the talking. The original link to the Boho Blog about the wedding is below and well worth checking out too if you want any more info.
